In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.

Jesus at the same time said to the crowds: “Have you come out, as if after a robber, with swords and clubs, to take me? I have sat teaching day after day in the Temple Courts, and yet you did not arrest me.”

In jener Stunde sprach Jesus zu den Volksmengen: Seid ihr ausgezogen wie gegen einen Räuber mit Schwertern und Stöcken, mich zu fangen? Täglich saß ich bei euch, im Tempel lehrend, und ihr habt mich nicht gegriffen.

En aquella hora dijo Jesús á las gentes: ¿Como á ladrón habéis salido con espadas y con palos á prenderme? Cada día me sentaba con vosotros enseñando en el templo, y no me prendisteis.
