Father Leo ("the App") is developed and operated by Blocksize One UG (haftungsbeschränkt). Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO).

Data We Collect

Father Leo is designed with privacy at its core. We collect as little data as possible:

No account required. You do not need to sign up or create an account to use the App.
No personal data collected. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.
No analytics or tracking. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools.
No server-side data. All your reading progress, bookmarks, journal entries, and preferences are stored locally on your device and optionally synced via your personal iCloud account.

Legal Basis for Processing (Art. 6 GDPR)

Since we do not collect or process personal data on our servers, there is generally no processing of personal data by us that requires a legal basis. To the extent that any data processing occurs (e.g., through iCloud sync or App Store transactions), it is based on:

Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — Processing necessary to provide the App's functionality, including iCloud sync of your reading data.
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — Processing necessary for the operation of the App Store subscription system.

iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, the App uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your reading progress, preferences, and journal entries across your devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not process, store, or have access to your payment information. Subscription management and billing are handled by Apple under their terms.

Your Rights Under GDPR

As a user in the European Union, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) — You may request confirmation of whether we process personal data concerning you, and if so, access to that data.
Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) — You may request correction of inaccurate personal data.

Since we do not collect personal data, these rights are largely satisfied by design. All app data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account, which you control entirely. You can delete all app data at any time by deleting the App from your device.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any data from children under 16 (the age of digital consent under GDPR). Since we collect no personal data from any user, this applies universally.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party services that collect user data. The only external service used is Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases, which is governed by Apple's privacy practices.

Cookies and Website

This website (fatherleo.app) does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any form of visitor analytics. No personal data is collected when you visit this website.
