Wer hat vom Aufgang her den erweckt, welchem Gerechtigkeit auf Schritt und Tritt begegnet? Er gab Nationen vor ihm dahin und ließ ihn Könige unterjochen, machte sie wie Staub vor seinem Schwerte, wie fortgetriebene Stoppeln vor seinem Bogen.

¿Quién despertó del oriente al justo, lo llamó para que le siguiese, entregó delante de él naciones, é hízolo enseñorear de reyes; entrególos á su espada como polvo, y á su arco como hojarascas arrebatadas?

Quem o chamou desde o oriente, e com justiça o chamou ao seu pé? Ele lhe deu as nações perante sua face, e o fez dominar sobre reis, e os entregou à sua espada como o pó, como a palha fina levada por seu arco.

Quem instigou aquele que vem do leste, chamando-o em justiça para o Seu serviço? Ele lhe entrega nações e o ajuda a subjugar reis; com a sua espada, Ele os faz como pó; com o seu arco, Ele os faz como a palha levada pelo vento.
