Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man’s brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

and they asked him, saying, Teacher, Moses wrote unto us, that if a man’s brother die, having a wife, and he be childless, his brother should take the wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

“Teacher, Moses laid down for us in his writings that — ‘Should a man’s married brother die, and should he be childless, the man should take the widow as his wife, and raise up a family for his brother.’

Diciendo: Maestro, Moisés nos escribió: Si el hermano de alguno muriere teniendo mujer, y muriere sin hijos, que su hermano tome la mujer, y levante simiente á su hermano.

Dizendo: Mestre, Moisés nos escreveu, que se o irmão de alguém morrer, tendo mulher, e morrer sem filhos, o irmão deve tomar a mulher, e gerar descendência a seu irmão.

perguntaram-Lhe dizendo: “Mestre, Moisés nos deixou escrito que, se o irmão de alguém morrer, sendo casado e não tendo filhos, ele deve tomar por esposa a viúva e suscitar descendência ao seu irmão.
