But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

Und du hast dich über den Herrn des Himmels erhoben; und man hat die Gefäße seines Hauses vor dich gebracht, und du und deine Gewaltigen, deine Frauen und deine Kebsweiber, ihr habt Wein daraus getrunken. Und du hast die Götter von Silber und Gold, von Erz, Eisen, Holz und Stein gerühmt, die nicht sehen und nicht hören und nicht wahrnehmen; aber den Gott, in dessen Hand dein Odem ist, und bei dem alle deine Wege sind, hast du nicht geehrt.

Antes contra el Señor del cielo te has ensoberbecido, é hiciste traer delante de ti los vasos de su casa, y tú y tus príncipes, tus mujeres y tus concubinas, bebisteis vino en ellos: demás de esto, á dioses de plata y de oro, de metal, de hierro, de madera, y de piedra, que ni ven, ni oyen, ni saben, diste alabanza: y al Dios en cuya mano está tu vida, y cuyos son todos tus caminos, nunca honraste.

Em vez disso exaltaste a ti mesmo contra o Senhor do céu; pois trouxeram diante de ti os vasos de sua casa, e tu, teus maiorais, tuas mulheres e tuas concubinas, bebestes vinho neles; além disto, louvaste a deuses de prata, ouro, bronze, de ferro, madeira e pedra, que não veem, nem ouvem, nem têm conhecimento algum; porém ao Deus em cuja mão está tua vida e todos os teus caminhos, a ele não glorificaste;

Tu te elevaste contra o Senhor do céu. Da sua Casa foram trazidas as taças que tu, teus nobres, suas esposas e suas concubinas beberam vinho, e tu deste louvores aos ídolos feitos de prata, ouro, bronze, ferro, madeira e pedra — ídolos que não veem, não ouvem nem sabem de nada. Tu não honraste o Deus que segura a tua respiração em Sua mão e que conhece todos os teus caminhos.
