Und er sprach zu den Boten Ben-Hadads: Saget meinem Herrn, dem König: Alles, was du deinem Knechte zuerst entboten hast, will ich tun; aber diese Sache kann ich nicht tun. Und die Boten gingen hin und brachten ihm Antwort.

Entonces él respondió á los embajadores de Ben-adad: Decid al rey mi señor: Haré todo lo que mandaste á tu siervo al principio; mas esto no lo puedo hacer. Y los embajadores fueron, y diéronle la respuesta.

Então ele respondeu aos embaixadores de Ben-Hadade: Dizei ao rei meu senhor: Farei tudo o que mandaste a teu servo ao princípio; mas isto não posso fazer. E os embaixadores foram, e deram-lhe a resposta.

Então Acabe disse aos mensageiros de Ben-Hadade: "Dizei ao meu mestre, o rei: 'Concordo com tudo o que mandaste teu servo fazer pela primeira vez, mas eu não posso aceitar essa segunda ordem'". Então os mensageiros saíram e levaram a resposta a Ben-Hadade.
