Und Boas sprach zu ihr zur Zeit des Essens: Tritt hierher, und iß von dem Brote und tunke deinen Bissen in den Essig. Da setzte sie sich zur Seite der Schnitter; und er reichte ihr geröstete Körner, und sie aß und wurde satt und ließ übrig.

Y Booz le dijo á la hora de comer: Allégate aquí, y come del pan, y moja tu bocado en el vinagre. Y sentóse ella junto á los segadores, y él le dió del potaje, y comió hasta que se hartó y le sobró.

E Boaz lhe disse à hora de comer: Achega-te aqui, e come do pão, e molha teu bocado no vinagre. E sentou-se ela junto aos ceifeiros, e ele lhe deu grãos tostados, e comeu até que se fartou e lhe sobrou.

Na hora da refeição, Boaz disse a Rute: "Vem aqui e come um pouco de pão e mergulha o teu pedaço no vinagre de vinho". Ela sentou-se ao lado dos ceifeiros, e ele lhe ofereceu alguns grãos torrados. Ela comeu até ficar satisfeita, e ainda sobrou.
