And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

Abraão recebeu o sinal da circuncisão, o qual era um selo da justiça da fé que ele já possuía quando estava na incircuncisão. O resultado desse sinal foi que ele se tornou pai daqueles que acreditam, mesmo que não sejam circuncidados. Isso significa que a justiça lhes foi atribuída.
