O SENHOR, tardio de ira e grande em misericórdia, que perdoa a iniquidade e a rebelião, e deixa impune o culpado; que visita a maldade dos pais sobre os filhos até a terceira geração e até a quarta.

'Yahweh é tardio em irar-se e abundante em misericórdia. Ele perdoa iniquidades e trangressões. De maneira nenhuma, Ele limpará a culpa quando Ele trouxer a punição do pecado dos antepassados sobre seus descendentes, até a terceira e quarta geração'.
