Concebi eu a todo este povo? Gerei-o eu, para que me digas: Leva-o em teu peito, como leva a que cria ao que mama, à terra da qual juraste a seus pais?

Por acaso eu dei à luz a todas estas pessoas? Eu as concebi para dizeres a mim: 'Carrega-as no peito como a ama carrega seu bebê?' Devo eu carregá-las para a terra que Tu juraste dar a teus antepassados?
