For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Denn siehe, der Tag kommt, brennend wie ein Ofen; und es werden alle Übermütigen und jeder Täter der Gesetzlosigkeit zu Stoppeln werden; und der kommende Tag wird sie verbrennen, spricht Jehova der Heerscharen, so daß er ihnen weder Wurzel noch Zweig lassen wird.

PORQUE he aquí, viene el día ardiente como un horno; y todos los soberbios, y todos los que hacen maldad, serán estopa; y aquel día que vendrá, los abrasará, ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, el cual no les dejará ni raíz ni rama.

Porque eis que aquele dia vem ardendo como forno; e todos os soberbos e todos os que praticam perversidade serão palha; e o dia que vem os incendiará,diz o SENHOR dos exércitos, de tal maneira que não lhes deixará nem raiz nem ramo.

Vede! O dia vem ardendo como uma fornalha, quando todos os orgulhosos e ímpios serão como a palha. O dia que vem os queimará", diz Yahweh dos Exércitos, "E não lhes sobrará raiz nem ramo.
