And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

And the ruler of the synagogue, being moved with indignation because Jesus had healed on the sabbath, answered and said to the multitude, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the day of the sabbath.

But the synagogue leader, indignant that Jesus had worked the cure on the Sabbath, intervened and said to the people: “There are six days on which work ought to be done; come to be cured on one of those, and not on the Sabbath.”

Der Synagogenvorsteher aber, unwillig, daß Jesus am Sabbath heilte, hob an und sprach zu der Volksmenge: Sechs Tage sind es, an denen man arbeiten soll; an diesen nun kommt und laßt euch heilen, und nicht am Tage des Sabbaths.

Y respondiendo el príncipe de la sinagoga, enojado de que Jesús hubiese curado en sábado, dijo á la compañía: Seis días hay en que es necesario obrar: en estos, pues, venid y sed curados, y no en día de sábado.

E o chefe da sinagoga, irritado por Jesus ter curado no sábado, respondendo, disse à multidão: Há seis dias em que se deve trabalhar; nestes dias, pois, vinde para ser curados, e não no dia de sábado.

Mas, o chefe da sinagoga ficou indignado por Jesus ter curado num dia de Sábado. Então o chefe disse à multidão que ali estava: “Há seis dias em que se deve trabalhar. Vinde, pois, e sejais curados nesses dias, e não no Sábado”.
