Und Jael, das Weib Hebers, nahm einen Zeltpflock und faßte den Hammer in ihre Hand, und sie kam leise zu ihm und schlug den Pflock durch seine Schläfe, daß er in die Erde drang. Er war nämlich in einen tiefen Schlaf gefallen und war ermattet, und er starb.

Y Jael, mujer de Heber, tomó una estaca de la tienda, y poniendo un mazo en su mano, vino á él calladamente, y metióle la estaca por las sienes, y enclavólo en la tierra, pues él estaba cargado de sueño y cansado; y así murió.

E Jael, mulher de Héber, tomou uma estaca da tenda, e pondo uma marreta em sua mão, veio a ele caladamente, e meteu-lhe a estaca pela têmpora, e encravou-o na terra, pois ele estava carregado de sonho e cansado; e assim morreu.

Então Jael, esposa de Héber, pegou uma estaca da tenda e um martelo. Foi, secretamente, até Sísera, que estava em sono profundo, e martelou a estaca na lateral da sua cabeça, até fazê-la fincar no chão. E ele morreu.
