Und sie wandten sich vor den Männern von Israel nach dem Wege zur Wüste; aber der Streit ereilte sie; und die aus den Städten kamen, streckten sie in ihrer Mitte nieder.

Volvieron, por tanto, espaldas delante de Israel hacia el camino del desierto; mas el escuadrón los alcanzó, y los salidos de la ciudad los mataban, habiéndolos encerrado en medio de ellos.

Voltaram-se, pois, de costas diante de Israel até o caminho do deserto; mas o esquadrão os alcançou, e os saídos da cidade os matavam, depois de virem ao meio deles.

Eles fugiram dos homens de Israel, escapando rumo ao deserto. Mas a batalha os alcançou. Os soldados de Israel saíram das cidades e os mataram onde eles estavam.
