So they said to one another: “Do not let us tear it, but let us cast lots for it, to see who will have it.” This was in fulfillment of the words of scripture — ‘They shared my clothes among them, And over my clothing they cast lots.’ That was what the soldiers did.

Da sprachen sie zueinander: Laßt uns ihn nicht zerreißen, sondern um ihn losen, wessen er sein soll; auf daß die Schrift erfüllt würde, welche spricht: "Sie haben meine Kleider unter sich verteilt, und über mein Gewand haben sie das Los geworfen". Die Kriegsknechte nun haben dies getan.

Y dijeron entre ellos: No la partamos, sino echemos suertes sobre ella, de quién será; para que se cumpliese la Escritura, que dice: Partieron para sí mis vestidos, y sobre mi vestidura echaron suertes. Y los soldados hicieron esto.

Disseram pois uns aos outros: Não a partamos, mas lancemos sortes sobre ela, de quem será; para que se cumprisse a Escritura, que diz: Entre si partiram minhas roupas, e sobre minha veste lançaram sortes. Os soldados, pois, fizeram isto.

Então, disseram um ao outro: "Não vamos rasgá-la; mas lançaremos sortes para decidir de quem será". Isso aconteceu para que as Escrituras se cumprissem: "Eles dividiram Minhas roupas entre si, e por Minhas roupas lançaram sortes". Os soldados fizeram essas coisas.
