And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the Lord our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not yours.

Und es soll geschehen, wenn ihr sagen werdet: Weshalb hat Jehova, unser Gott, uns dies alles getan? so sprich zu ihnen: Gleichwie ihr mich verlassen und fremden Göttern gedient habt in eurem Lande, also sollt ihr Fremden dienen in einem Lande, das nicht euer ist.

Y será que cuando dijereis: ¿Por qué hizo Jehová el Dios nuestro con nosotros todas estas cosas? entonces les dirás: De la manera que me dejasteis á mí, y servisteis á dioses ajenos en vuestra tierra, así serviréis á extraños en tierra ajena.

E será que quando disserdes: Por que o SENHOR nosso Deus fez conosco todas estas coisas? Então lhes dirás: Assim como vós me abandonastes e servistes a deuses estrangeiros em vossa terra, assim também servireis a estrangeiros numa terra que não é vossa.

Quando vós, Israel e Judá, disserdes: 'Por que Yahweh, nosso Deus, tem feito todas estas coisas conosco?' Então tu, Jeremias, lhes dirás: 'Assim como vós abandonastes a Yahweh e servistes a deuses estrangeiros em vossa terra, assim, vós também servireis a estranhos em uma terra que não é a vossa'.
