De otra manera fuera necesario que hubiera padecido muchas veces desde el principio del mundo: mas ahora una vez en la consumación de los siglos, para deshacimiento del pecado se presentó por el sacrificio de sí mismo.

(de outra maneira lhe seria necessário padecer muitas vezes desde a fundação do mundo), mas agora, no fim dos tempos, ele se manifestou de uma vez por todas para aniquilar o pecado pelo sacrifício de si mesmo.

Se assim fosse, então seria necessário que Ele sofresse muitas vezes desde a fundação do mundo. Mas agora, somente uma vez, ao se cumprirem os tempos, é que Ele foi revelado para remover o pecado por meio de Seu próprio sacrifício.
