For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

For whereas, considering the time that has elapsed, you ought to be teaching others, you still need some one to teach you the alphabet of the divine revelation, and need again to be fed with ‘milk’ instead of with ‘solid food.’

Denn da ihr der Zeit nach Lehrer sein solltet, bedürfet ihr wiederum, daß man euch lehre, welches die Elemente des Anfangs der Aussprüche Gottes sind; und ihr seid solche geworden, die der Milch bedürfen und nicht der festen Speise.

Porque debiendo ser ya maestros á causa del tiempo, tenéis necesidad de volver á ser enseñados cuáles sean los primeros rudimentos de las palabras de Dios; y habéis llegado á ser tales que tengáis necesidad de leche, y no de manjar sólido.

Pois, pelo tempo, vós já devíeis ser mestres; porém novamente tendes necessidade de serdes ensinados os princípios básicos das palavras de Deus; e vos fizestes como se precisásseis de leite, e não de alimento sólido.

Embora a esta altura vós já deveríeis ser mestres, ainda é necessário que alguém vos ensine os princípios básicos da Palavra de Deus. Vós necessitais de leite, não de alimento sólido.
