Aber sein Vater weigerte sich und sprach: Ich weiß es mein Sohn, ich weiß es. Auch er wird zu einem Volke werden, und auch er wird groß sein; aber doch wird sein jüngerer Bruder größer sein als er, und sein Same wird eine Fülle von Nationen werden.

Mas su padre no quiso, y dijo: Lo sé, hijo mío, lo sé: también él vendrá á ser un pueblo, y será también acrecentado; pero su hermano menor será más grande que él, y su simiente será plenitud de gentes.

Mas seu pai não quis, e disse: Eu sei, meu filho, eu sei: também ele virá a ser um povo, e será também acrescentado; porém seu irmão mais novo será maior que ele, e sua descendência será plenitude de povos.

Seu pai se recusou e lhe disse: "Eu sei, meu filho, eu sei. Ele também se tornará um povo, e ele também será grande. Mas seu irmão mais jovem será maior do que ele, e a descendência dele se tornará como uma multidão de nações".
