Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

Nun, wenn ihr bereit seid, zur Zeit, da ihr den Klang des Hornes, der Pfeife, der Zither, der Sambuke, der Laute und der Sackpfeife, und allerlei Art von Musik hören werdet, niederzufallen und das Bild anzubeten, welches ich gemacht habe...;wenn ihr es aber nicht anbetet, sollt ihr sofort in den brennenden Feuerofen geworfen werden; und wer ist der Gott, der euch aus meiner Hand erretten wird?

Ahora pues, ¿estáis prestos para que en oyendo el son de la bocina, del pífano, del tamboril, del arpa, del salterio, de la zampoña, y de todo instrumento músico, os postréis, y adoréis la estatua que he hecho? Porque si no la adorareis, en la misma hora seréis echados en medio de un horno de fuego ardiendo: ¿y qué dios será aquel que os libre de mis manos?

Agora pois, se estais prontos, quando ouvirdes o som da trombeta, do pífano, da cítara, da harpa, do saltério, da flauta, e de todo instrumento musical, prostrai-vos e adorai a estátua que eu fiz. Porém se não a adorardes, na mesma hora sereis lançados dentro da fornalha de fogo ardente; e quem é o Deus que vos livrará de minhas mãos?

Agora, se estais prontos, quando ouvirdes os sons da trombeta, da flauta, da harpa, da cítara, do saltério, da gaita de fole e de todo tipo de música, vos prostrareis e adorareis a estátua que fiz, e tudo ficará bem. Mas, se não adorardes, sereis imediatamente lançados em uma fornalha de fogo ardente. E quem é o deus que será capaz de vos salvar das minhas mãos?".
