But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?

And all that heard him were amazed, and said, Is not this he that in Jerusalem made havoc of them that called on this name? and he had come hither for this intent, that he might bring them bound before the chief priests.

All who heard him were amazed. “Is not this,” they asked, “the man who worked havoc in Jerusalem among those that invoke this name, and who had also come here for the express purpose of having such persons put in chains and taken before the chief priests?”

Alle aber, die es hörten, gerieten außer sich und sagten: Ist dieser nicht der, welcher in Jerusalem die zerstörte, welche diesen Namen anrufen, und dazu hierhergekommen war, auf daß er sie gebunden zu den Hohenpriestern führe?

Y todos los que le oían estaban atónitos, y decían: ¿No es éste el que asolaba en Jerusalem á los que invocaban este nombre, y á eso vino acá, para llevarlos presos á los príncipes de los sacerdotes?

E todos os que o ouviam ficavam admirados, e diziam: Não é este aquele que em Jerusalém tentava destruir aos que invocavam este nome? E não foi para isso que ele veio aqui, para os levar presos aos chefes dos sacerdotes?

Todos os que o ouviam estavam maravilhados e diziam: "Não é esse o homem que assolou aqueles em Jerusalém que invocavam este Nome? E veio aqui para trazê-los presos ao sumo sacerdote?".
