And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

And when the townclerk had quieted the multitude, he saith, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there who knoweth not that the city of the Ephesians is temple-keeper of the great Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

When the Recorder had succeeded in quieting the crowd, he said: “People of Ephesus, who is there, I ask you, who needs to be told that this city of Ephesus is the Warden of the Temple of the great Artemis, and of the statue which fell down from Zeus?

Als aber der Stadtschreiber die Volksmenge beruhigt hatte, spricht er: Männer von Ephesus, welcher Mensch ist denn, der nicht wisse, daß die Stadt der Epheser eine Tempelpflegerin der großen Artemis und des vom Himmel gefallenen Bildes ist?

Entonces el escribano, apaciguado que hubo la gente, dijo: Varones Efesios, ¿y quién hay de los hombres que no sepa que la ciudad de los Efesios es honradora de la gran diosa Diana, y de la imagen venida de Júpiter?

E o escrivão, tendo apaziguado a multidão, disse: Homens efésios, quem não sabe que a cidade dos efésios é a guardadora do templo da grande deusa Diana, e da imagem que desceu do céu?

Então o escrivão da cidade, aquietando a multidão, disse: "Homens de Éfeso, qual é o homem que não sabe que a cidade dos efésios é a guardiã do templo da grande Diana e da sua imagem que caiu do céu?
