Por isso, falaram ao rei da Assíria, dizendo: "As nações que tens levado e colocado nas cidades de Samaria não conhecem as práticas exigidas pelo Deus da terra. Assim, ele enviou leões entre eles e, eis que, os leões estão matando pessoas lá porque eles não conhecem as práticas exigidas pelo Deus da terra".
