And he said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to enquire of Baal–zebub the god of Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel to enquire of his word? therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.

Und er redete zu ihm: So spricht Jehova: Weil du Boten gesandt hast, um Baal-Sebub, den Gott von Ekron, zu befragen (ist es, weil kein Gott in Israel ist, um sein Wort zu befragen?), Darum sollst du von dem Bette, das du bestiegen hast, nicht herabkommen, sondern du wirst gewißlich sterben.

Y díjole: Así ha dicho Jehová: Pues que enviaste mensajeros á consultar á Baal-zebub dios de Ecrón, ¿no hay Dios en Israel para consultar en su palabra? No descenderás, por tanto, del lecho en que subiste, antes morirás de cierto.

E disse-lhe: Assim disse o SENHOR: Por que enviaste mensageiros a consultar Baal-Zebube, deus de Ecrom? Acaso não há Deus em Israel para consultar a sua palavra? Não descerás, portanto, do leito em que subiste, antes certamente morrerás.

Elias disse a Acazias: "Assim diz Yahweh: 'Tens enviado mensageiros para consultar Baal-Zebube, o deus de Ecrom. Por acaso não há Deus em Israel para que teus homens consultem a Baal-Zebube, o deus de Ecrom? Por essa razão, não sairás desta cama para a qual subistes, mas certamente morrerás'".
