Und er ließ seine Söhne durchs Feuer gehen im Tale des Sohnes Hinnoms, und er trieb Zauberei und Wahrsagerei und Beschwörung, und bestellte Totenbeschwörer und Wahrsager: er tat viel Böses in den Augen Jehovas, um ihn zu reizen.

Y pasó sus hijos por fuego en el valle de los hijos de Hinnom; y miraba en los tiempos, miraba en agüeros, era dado á adivinaciones, y consultaba pythones y encantadores: subió de punto en hacer lo malo en ojos de Jehová, para irritarle.

E passou seus filhos por fogo no vale dos filhos de Hinom; e olhava adivinhações, predições supersticiosas, e feitiçarias, e consultava médiuns e interpretadores de espíritos; ele fez muito mal aos olhos do SENHOR, para irritar-lhe.

Ofereceu seus filhos como ofertas queimadas no vale de Ben-Hinom. Praticou adivinhação e feitiçaria, leu presságios e consultou aqueles que falam com os mortos e aqueles que falam com espíritos. Ele praticou muitos males à vista de Yahweh e provocou a ira de Deus.
