And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the Lord, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from evil: for the Lord hath returned the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head. And David sent and communed with Abigail, to take her to him to wife.

And David sent and spake concerning Abigail, to take her to him to wife.

Und als David hörte, daß Nabal gestorben war, sprach er: Gepriesen sei Jehova, der den Rechtsstreit meiner Schmach von seiten Nabals geführt und seinen Knecht vom Bösen abgehalten hat! Und die Bosheit Nabals hat Jehova auf seinen Kopf zurückkehren lassen. Und David sandte hin und warb um Abigail, um sie sich zum Weibe zu nehmen.

Y luego que David oyó que Nabal era muerto, dijo: Bendito sea Jehová que juzgó la causa de mi afrenta recibida de la mano de Nabal, y ha preservado del mal á su siervo; y Jehová ha tornado la malicia de Nabal sobre su propia cabeza. Después envió David á hablar á Abigail, para tomarla por su mujer.

E logo que Davi ouviu que Nabal era morto, disse: Bendito seja o SENHOR que julgou a causa de minha afronta recebida da mão de Nabal, e preservou do mal a seu servo; e o SENHOR devolveu a malícia de Nabal sobre sua própria cabeça. Depois enviou Davi a falar a Abigail, para tomá-la por sua mulher.

E, quando Davi ouviu que Nabal estava morto, disse: "Yahweh sê bendito, que tomou a causa do meu insulto vindo de Nabal, e livrou o teu servo de fazer o mal. E trouxe sobre a própria cabeça de Nabal a sua má ação". Então, Davi enviou servos, que falaram a Abigail que ele desejava tomá-la como sua esposa.
