Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

Por tanto, Jehová el Dios de Israel dice: Yo había dicho que tu casa y la casa de tu padre andarían delante de mí perpetuamente; mas ahora ha dicho Jehová: Nunca yo tal haga, porque yo honraré á los que me honran, y los que me tuvieren en poco, serán viles.

Portanto, o SENHOR o Deus de Israel disse: Eu havia dito que tua casa e a casa de teu pai andariam diante de mim perpetuamente; mas agora disse o SENHOR: Nunca eu tal faça, porque eu honrarei aos que me honram, e os que me desprezarem serão rejeitados.

Porque Yahweh, o Deus de Israel, diz: 'Eu prometi que a tua família e a casa de teu ancestral andariam diante de mim perpetuamente'. Mas agora Yahweh diz: 'Longe de Mim fazer isso, porque Eu honrarei aqueles que Me honram, mas os que Me desprezam serão desprezados.
